If using The Original X-Jet ensure the close range nozzle is removed. If Using the X-Jet M5, ensure the variable nozzle is turned to the almost closed position to create the near zero degree pattern needed for high reach. Verify you have the correct orifice size installed for your machine. Use a pressure gauge to verify your machine is performing at the correct PSI and putting out the GPM per specs
Use a pressure gauge to verify your machine is performing at the correct PSI and putting out the GPM per specs. Also check to see you have the correct orifice size installed for your machine. Moving up in the size orifice will slightly reduce the mistiness. Do not go too much larger than the specs of you machine as the X-Jet will not draw chemical if too large especially on smaller GPM machines.
Remove the quick connect plug, ensure the spring and orifice are located inside. Remove the spring and orifice to clean the inside removing any built up debris.
First, check the hose for an air leak and ensure the ball valve is in the open position. Remove the quick connect plug and check the spring and orifice for debris. Use a pressure gauge to verify your machine is performing at the correct PSI and putting out the GPM per specs. If all of these things check out OK, switch to a smaller orifice size and test again.

Yes, The higher gallon machine you have the longer length of hose you can use with your X-Jet Nozzle. Most customers can add up to 40 ft of polybraid hose, however we have reports of up to 100 feet of hose being added with the 8 GPM + machines.
The X-Jet Nozzles must be used with a pressure washer to work properly, however the DS Twist can be used with the softwashing Agricultural systems. These types of low pressure direct pumps can be used with the 2-3 GPM size DS Twist.
Same X-Jet nozzle body, Yes but with modification. Remove the quick connect plug and inside you will find a spring and an orifice with a number stamped on it. Verify with the chart which size you need. Distributors who stock parts carry different size orifices and you can swap them out as needed when using different size machines.

Technically yes, we have many contractors that share they use an X-Jet to wash a roof. We would like to caution you when using chemicals at high concentrations to be aware of the potential for overspray.
The Proportioners are placed in the hose barb before attaching the 15ft hose assembly to the X-Jet Nozzle for both The Original X-Jet and the X-Jet M5.
The close range nozzle is only used with the Original X-Jet Nozzle. Securely screw the close range nozzle onto The Original X-Jet long range nozzle for close up work like the foundation, a fence, etc. Remove it when reaching up high on a surface.
The reach will be dependent on your machine. The 2-3 GPM typically reach up to 40Ft, the 3-7 GPM typically reach up to 50 ft, and the 7-12 GPM typically reach up to 60 ft.
The reach will be different with each machine an X-Jet is used with. The higher the gallon per minute your machine, the higher you will reach up to 40 feet or more. If reach is detrimental and/or you have less than 3.5 GPM, you may wish to select The Original X-Jet nozzle as its reach is approximately 3 to 5 feet higher than an X-jet M5
